So LSU won’t be in NIT/NCAA this season. If they make NIT next season, is that a success?

Since Woody wants to run it back with the same coaching staff. Making the NIT next year would be considered a successful season… correct?

I’d say yes….i figure that means at least 5-7 SEC wins which more than doubles that of this year.

If we are going to consider that a success...thats shows how far weve fallen in both product on the court AND expectations.

Which is why extending the downslide further is questionable

If your goal is to make the NIT go cheer on another sport. Another shitty year next year with this idiot coach infuriates me

Going from making the NCAAT in 4 consecutive seasons to going ofer the NCAAT the subsequent 4 seasons is in no way a success - on any level - in any universe.

goodness bro. That was fine for year 2 but in year 4 expectations need to be a bit higher

The only way the NIT next year is a success is with a new coach.

The way some people have embraced this dumpster fire is embarrassing.

Yall think we are going to pay 8Mil in NIL and get to 10-13 SEC wins the year after we win 2 SEC games……expectations need to be based on where you are today not based on where you wanted to be today 3 years ago.

We’ll be lucky to increase our basketball NIL to 5mil which is still lower than Bama, Aub, UK, and Ark are paying.

ETA I’m in the fire McMan camp and start over but it’s pretty clear that ain’t happening so things have to be adjusted accordingly….including expectations.

You consider being outside of the top 64 in a major sport a success?

At some point we need some expectations

No, making the tournament is only considered the success at this point. We can't be hoping to be NIT caliber in years 3 and 4 if we've never made the tourney previously. This is ridiculous, we need to stop thinking like a bottom feeder program because coach isn't getting it done

Woodward is taking the Sharon Weston-Broome approach to success. If you lower the bar for “success”’ far enough even insignificant achievements can be considered success.

We’re not a basketball school. Why don’t people get that through their heads. Sorry to be so critical, but damn people so bent out of shape and disappointed about having a bad season with basketball.

What is the definition of a “basketball school”? And please tell us how Auburn and Alabama fit it while LSU doesn’t?
