cheaper to keep her (or him in this instance)

Oh frick this, typical LSU.
I wonder how much LSU is going to have to overpay to get decent talent to Baton Rouge.
Imagine selling McMahon’s three year record to kids when other more promising coaches offer a similar bag.
Joke.

lol maybe because our ticket sales are down ? No one wants to drive to a game to watch us lose? He 12-30 in the sec …. At this pace we won’t have a basketball program in a few years . I wonder what ole miss and miss state NIL ranked at the year before they hired their coaches?

Call this last week.
Wonder if we pay the current players more money if they will play harder. Lol or i guess we flush this entire roster and start all over for a 4th time.

It’s actually a tough spot to be in…it’s very apparent that this chump will never be a great coach…he just won’t.
But can you split some of the buyout money off to NIL and hope that he wins enough to turn a bigger profit and then cut ties when the buyout isn’t ridiculous….i guess I get it but not sure I like it either

Yeah bro lol it’s almost like fan engagement isn’t a big part of NIL when you suck no one wants to engage with the team nor support them . Hell look at how our basketball fans travel we never travel very well compared to other teams even when wade was the head coach . But he was quickly changing that before he was fired . Now our fan engagement is at an all time low . Didn’t someone on here post how the basketball team is losing money ?

Regardless of what you think about Mcmahon there is no way LSU can compete in the SEC with a $1.5 mil budget . Vandy is at $5 mil. We beat them with Reed. Ark is at $10 mil and we beat them . Ky. Auburn, AL, FL $10- 20 mil. We competed with AL and Auburn and Ole Miss and TAM. With the lowest bball budget in the conference. So give Mcmahon the budget to compete next year and if he still is at the bottom then cut ties and move on but at least give him a level playing field in NIL as you will need to show that commitment even if you are looking to hire a new coach next year.

What a fricking joke. If it wasn't obvious before it is now, Scott and Tate are not serious about LSU basketball.

It's completely illogical and clearly demonstrates there is not one fricking person in the athletic department who understands men's basketball. LSU got Wade because there was a former associate AD who was former college basketball player/GA who understood what to look for in hiring a basketball coach. The current group has no one who has a clue of what to look for. There solution is evidently to simply throw good money at bad because that is all Woodward knows how to do...raise and spend other people's money.

Scott hates basketball.
Said it before I’ll say it again.
This is what he wants.
It’s a nuisance to him.

Maybe we can finally get our alumni like Shaq involved? Matt can’t even do that

I told y’all last week Tate is happy with McMahon and y’all said i was full of shite.

They seem to think this is going to work out like Florida and Napier. I don’t think we have that star multi million dollar QB on the roster though.

Anyone with common sense can see the incredible talent disparity between LSU and the other teams in the SEC.

Who will be funding the increased NIL budget? Shouldn't the coach bear some responsibility for not engaging with donors up to this point? Will that be next year's excuse for not having the buyout money when we are inevitably in the same place again?

So waste money on players that will be coached by an idiot. Great work fat arse Scott

I thought we ran like a -2 million loss for Mens bball this year, not including the loss from the women side
I was shocked to hear that we paid our players too, whatever it is, too much imho

You don't flush everything - ever (except for that football defensive coach thingy) but you build over the course of time.
