Only way to be “One nation”

The only way to remain one country and not be at constant odds within is to limit the federal government and return most functions to the states. We are simply too big, too populated, too diverse to have one ideology.
The federal government should be about national defense, international relationships and few other big items.
Let NY, CA, etc to be as left as they want, with their own tax dollars and within their own boarders. Let each state’s people self govern.
The current dynamics also make the two party system necessary. Thousands of issues with arrays of positions for each but we have two parties.

Oddly, in the 18th century when we were small, low population and not diverse the states had more power compared to the federal govt. than the current balance.

Need a divorce. Marxist Dems get a geographic area comparable to their geographic voting footprint … a couple or a few states . Red America holds a convention and returns the power to the people …balanced budget, simplified tax code perhaps no income tax, term limits, etc.

Look at Europe, arresting people for tweets, ignoring rapes by violent illegal immigrants and arresting those who even speak of it. That's your party.
Control of social media, control of government via NGOs, control of foreign policy. No one elected or voted, just installed and then we're all supposed to shut up.

Yeah I am shocked that there isn’t 3 debates during the election cycle. You mean to tell me that there couldn’t be a Democrat debate, Republican debate and then an ‘Independent’ debate with Libetarian, Green, etc and then we could possibly get more options than just the two party system.

Overriding the Congressional budget, which disregards the powers of the legislative branch. Congress may be rogue, but we elected those morons to keep doing the same reckless shite they’ve been doing for decades. The people have spoken.
