Trump/Elon actions eerily similar to Jindal’s destruction of Louisiana

It is a bit sad that most in Louisiana have not learned from their past and Jindal’s effing up of Louisiana.
They were all excited about a guy that would go through our government and slash jobs and systems to save money.
Problem was that just as like Trump and Elon, he did it fast and fuiriously to win political points and ignored the long term potential destruction it would lay in the state. There was no plan other than cut and it was disastrous on many levels.
Perfect example was the cutting of EKL capacity by nearly 80% only to have Katrina put New Orléans’ LSU charity hospital underwater. That is just one example, but hey, he cut costs.
I am not saying DOGE isn’t necessary and shouldn’t streamline the government. I, in fact, am all for it. The problem is they are simply cutting things with little thought to the long term effects and are also being like Obama was with ACA. Just passing it to pass it with no thoughts if it would actually help and ignoring how much damage it would do.
Being a pragmatist, I hate this boomerang stupidity, and trying to do the Shock and awe simply to make it look good, when in fact, it will likely backfire and have massive negative consequences to us all outside of the Billionaires and their families who are insulated from it.

Thats more of an indictment on Louisiana and its fatal attraction to government and populism.

The federal government is obscenely bloated. You can carve away on that carcass for decades.

Comparing Trump and Elon to Jindal does not compute. One of those is not like the others.

The US Government needs a serious overhaul.....and that's what you are getting, whether you like it or not!
There is not one person on the planet believes that governments are efficient....so why not change that.
Trump is changing the world as we speak!

Respectfully, you failed to connect ANY dots with your OP. Just an unsupported premise that contradicts itself.

IMO the problem is Trump is doing this mainly via EOs, which have less teeth and judges can block because some of his executive authority regarding a few of these cases is very dubious and lacks precedent
He should be asking Congress to pass these laws. Why isnt he doing that?

Yeah, because you know all of the closed door conversations that are/aren't taking place.
I always love when people post absolutes on here about things the have ZERO knowledge of.

What cuts has Trump made do you consider wrong or Jindal like in your terms?

You're right. Cutting out $100K to the Congo to put on transgender affirming plays in elementary school could produce a whole generation of sexually frustrated Congolese.

Excellent example.
I can't believe how badly magazis melt when posts like this are made.
They're an embarrassment to true conservatives. We don't melt.

Jindal effed up Louisiana because he spent his second term running for president instead of serving as governor.

You really think they don’t have an endgame?

What cuts in particular are you seeing in 3 weeks time that have you particularly worried/drawing your conclusions?

I’ve gone through the list so far of the 60 or so items DOGE has cut and literally not a single one looked like it would have adverse effects to the average person. All bullshite that we never should have been paying for in the first place

Trump does not know how to nor has the desire to govern within the system.
Trump fancies himself a King when he is really just a cuck being led around by Musk.
This board eats up the silly optics tho.
America fricked.

This will probably be the last effort in this country‘s history to slash the federal government, so you have to go hard and fast.
Biden bloated fed gov with hundreds of thousands of DEI enforcers. You could get rid of every last one of them, and no one outside of northern Virginia would notice. The purpose of the federal gov is not to be an employment agency.
Elon knows from the industry that it is easier to hack and build back than to spend time trying to carve carefully.
