Why do females feel a need to pat themselves on the back on social media constantly?

I saw a girl post this today:
Why are these people so narcissistic and self-absorbed that they have to pat themselves on the back continually?
We get it. Things didn’t work out with you and some baw, and now you’re salty about it and giving yourself plugs while taking subtle digs at him and the other men around.
Just shut up and take care of your responsibilities and stop complaining and being so dramatic for frick sake.

Today’s female is told from birth that they are perfect little princesses that can do no wrong and deserve the world.

I don’t know but this girl I graduated from high school is one of these people that quit her job being a nurse to “be her own boss” and peddle shite on Facebook. I don’t even know what she’s selling but she’s always posting pictures of her belly and talking about post Partum depression since her baby was born. It’s reached peak nausea
