Say everything stays the same except for whomever we draft. What is a realistic record for next year with Moore at the helm?

6-7 wins if we aren’t catastrophically injured on offense like last year

We have no idea what the roster is going to look like. Given it’s not exactly a murderers row of a division id out the total at 5.5 wins.

You mean like with all the injuries from last year too?

I don't think it's a realistic question. Thinks can stay the same, players will be gone and hopefully the injuries lessen up in 25.

But. This team must take a step backwards to move forwards. IMO 3-5 wins is realistic if they do things right. 26 will be 5+ wins and 27 may have us approaching double digit wins again. IF and only IF they do the right thing.

Now if they just roll it back and hope to to avoid the injury bug 25 may see 5 wins again 26 -27 will likely be more of the 5-8 wins each year and the roaster and cap will largely look the same. Old and bloated.

IMO they will go with option 1, one step back two steps forward.

Home games
Atlanta Falcons W
Carolina Panthers W
Tampa Bay Buccaneers L
Arizona Cardinals W
San Francisco 49ers L
New England Patriots W
New York Jets W
New York Giants W

Road games
Atlanta Falcons L
Carolina Panthers L
Tampa Bay Buccaneers L
Buffalo Bills L
Los Angeles Rams L
Miami Dolphins L
Seattle Seahawks L
Chicago Bears W
Tennessee Titans W

Too early to really tell. But 8 wins could happen. I could see us beating the Dolphins and Buccs and winning 10. I could also see us dropping games to the Jets, Patriots and Bears and only winning 5.

If we hold on to Carr, I would expect Moore to get us to 8-9 wins with him. If we can move off of him and go with a bridge guy or Rattler, I would think 5-6 wins. As much as we dog on Carr, he is a slightly above average QB who will win you about the same number of games as he will lose you.

Our schedule is a cakewalk with our only tough home games being the Bucs and 49ers. Our trade games against the Bills, Rams, Dolphins and Seahawks will be tough but we have a bunch of teams that were as bad as us or worse on our schedule.

You are correct. 9 wins would be a stretch and would require luck and less injuries….but possible.

My guess is we win 7.

Vegas currently has us as the 2nd worst team in the conference and third worst in the league

So that’s good for 4-5 wins. Carr has had 3 and 4 win seasons before, he’s not your saving grace.

Don’t care. Attack the cap. Eliminate the wasted salaries. The last leg players get a Saints watch. Churn the roster.

Even get rid of the old school administration in the building. Change the vibe.

Improve the player conditioning program. Bring in the best doctors and trainers. No more excuses about massive team injuries.

Nothing was previously working. A completely fresh approach is needed.

What a tempered, rational and well reasoned response. That won’t go over well here.

I don't even know how you overcome 50mil+ in the whole before you even start to build a team.

They won 5 with Carr out. I'd say 7 is the right number.

That’s an impossible question to answer right now.

Let’s talk after we make all of our cuts and restructures. We will know if the team is going full rebuild or not.

FB you can set the ceiling, you can only do so much to get better. The bottom is tougher bc like you said, it depends which way Loomis chooses to go

You can’t even write in wins vs the Titans, Bears, Jets, Giants, Patriots, Cards, 9ers. Those are your “easy” games on paper. They all are either in the top 10 in cap space or have top 10 picks/war chest of picks. Most of them have both. And they have exciting younger players with arrows trending up

Folks thinks the league is going to stand still while we wrestle out of this mess. If you think this team wins 8 or 9 you’re going to have a nice opportunity to make a lot of money when Vegas releases the win totals for 2025

I think you are realistically right.

But this league changes in an instant, see: Commanders.

It’s just impossible to really know what this team really looks like.

And I just try not to make those judgment calls without much more information anymore.

5-12
I think the defense will take the biggest hit. It's been a DA Def for awhile now a completely new system with old guys use to the old one. No cap for better FA fixes. He has a little to work with on the O side. Good luck on the D.
I was being a little optimistic in my win total.

We should do everything in our power to win 0-2 games next year, so we can actually draft a QB prospect worth a damn

It will be very bad.

Your best player on offense is 35 and likely done.

Your second best is about to hit the RB wall.

Your OL is still bad.

You have zero WRs healthy.

Defense has no elite pass rusher or interior defender.

You have no Pro Bowl caliber players on the D at all.

Talent is barren and what talent they do have is old or always hurt.

Will take 2-3 years minimum to field a competitive team.

Need to take the best OL/DL in the draft and go for a rookie QB next year.
