I am not a huge fan of the NFL…were those the 2 best teams?

I don't think the Chiefs were. Who do you have over the Eagles?

The Chiefs lowkey were not THAT good this year.

They won a lot of close games, and I think had one of the lowest point differentials for a SB team in modern history.

Their offense REALLY struggled for large parts of the year but the defense was good and they just kept scratching out wins.

I think they fall off by their standards next year even more and are in a mini-rebuild but we will see I guess

Buffalo and Detroit were the two best teams all year and probably would have been an awesome Super Bowl. Can’t argue the Eagles were playing the best ball at the end of the year though.

Agreed. The Lions were getting by with guys off the street on D. The Vikings felt like a phony 14-3. Philly was the best team in the NFC.

Credit to KC for going 15-2, but I don't think they would have gotten through Baltimore and Buffalo. But, the one seed and draw worked out for them to make another SB.

They were 2 of the best who won their respective paths.

In the AFC there were probably 2-3 relatively equal teams - Bills and Ravens.

In the NFC a healthy Lions were on par with the Eagles.

They were 14-3 in the regular season. It's not like they just got hot and went on a run at the end of the season, they were really good all year.

Chiefs were the third best team in afc

I would put it
Ravens
Bills
Chiefs

Eagles were the best team in the NFC. Got to remember one of their only 3 losses came when hurts didn’t play pretty much the entire game

They were really good at winning all year, but I watched every game and man....everyone was a dog fight

Right. Great teams have a couple of dog fights each year, wins games that they shouldn't, etc

But they are largely dominant. Chiefs weren't that this year. It felt like virtually ever game was a dogfight

Detroit was decimated by injuries, and the bills were not one of the two best teams lol. C'mon man

Pt differential rankings

1. Lions+222- injuries killed them late though
2. Eagles +160
3. Bills +157
3. Ravens +157

Those were your best teams

11. Chiefs +59

I look at Super Bowl teams from the 2010’s and realize it was tougher to win the super bowl that decade than this one so far.

Eagles and Bills were two best teams. That would have been a much better SB.

KC wasn't as dominant as they were in years past, but 15-1 (not counting the week 18 loss where they sat everyone) speaks for itself. It isn't college football where you can play a schedule where most of the opponents are outmanned. Even though many of the wins were by one score they DID find a way to win those games.

Ultimately, they ran into a team who was playing better, with more confidence, who had the right makeup to beat them...badly as it turns out. Mahomes is a great QB. To argue otherwise is ridiculous. But even great QBs struggle vs. pressure. Much like the NY Giants in the 2007 Super Bowl vs New England, Philly was able to get a ton of pressure with just their DL.

In hindsight it would have been fun to see a Detroit v Philadelphia NFCCG. But the cruelty of the NFL is one bad game in the playoffs can end an otherwise great season. Detroit opened the door for Washington and they took advantage. Does Philly beat Detroit in Detroit? Who knows? But it's hard to say the KC and Philly weren't the two "best" teams (even though there are a handful of others who were right there with them) simply because the game was a blowout. Dump on KC all you want, but I think it was a more of a matter of Philly simply playing a great game

Yeah I didn't know the exact numbers but knew it wasn't good.

I would not be surprised if the Chiefs after 3 straight runs get a pretty big Super Bowl Loser Effect and aren't too good next year (although I am never counting out Mahomes)

The Eagles clearly were. The Chiefs probably weren't. They were fortunate that the Ravens were -3 on turnovers on the road in the snow in Buffalo.

Ravens I think had the best roster in the AFC. However dumb arse harbaugh decisions, Lamar not being able to get out of his own head in the playoffs, and mark andrews going full derp mode is why they werent there.

I’d say bills and ravens are damn near even

Bills more steady and smart

Ravens higher ceiling but also propensity to have bad moments and games

#2 scoring offense
#3 pt differential
Least amount of turnovers
#12 scoring defense

I mean, talent wise they weren’t great, but as a team they sure performed as a top 2 team this year
