Really great thread.
I'd not try to flip CA although that is an interesting idea.
I'd go all swing states that have land and climates conducive to their expertise. Nobody in Illinois or CA or very safe red states like Indiana and Iowa and Oklahoma

I'd try to do something like make IL, MI, WI and MN Republican states and resettle them there. Nothing will spur a law by Dems to stop that faster than losing 2 Dem strongholds and 2 purple states. If there's leftovers then I'd look at AZ and NM. That sky scream would be deafening.

Play by the rules of the game as current and then change when done. That is how you win, you don’t take some fake high road vs a no good opponent.
