Are Nicotine pouches the future or just a new "boner" fad?

“An observant person can’t help but notice that the compounds that make the population much more passive and accepting of injustice and poverty are promoted, and the ones that make people more aware — and potentially more self-reliant — are discouraged,” said Carlson, arguing that the government doesn’t heap the same scorn on chemical depressants like alcohol, marijuana and benzodiazepines like Xanax that it does on stimulants like nicotine. “If you’re going to destroy America’s middle class and put all the money in the hands of a few, you need to make people more accepting of that incredibly ugly fact — so maybe you want them smoking more weed and watching more Netflix.”

How observant are you?

This is true. See the FDA's dogged pursuit of removing DMAA from pre-workout supplements.

Nicotine is a wonder drug—Always has been. Lot of data to back it up. It is too bad smoking is poison. I quit smoking years ago, but I love the gum, lozenges, or a zyn. zyn is my least favorite of them.

The idea that nicotine is so bad for you in pure form is hilarious, and speaks to American idiocy. Alcohol is 100x more destructive than Zyn.

Weed also gives you higher mind insight that helps you see behind the curtain. If you smoke it for that reason you start becoming immune to people’s bullshite.

Agree re: nicotine.

That gum is hard to chew after a bit, unless it's improved.

Quit dipping years ago. I love nicotine but don’t enjoy being a slave to it. If Zyn were a thing back when I quit I’d probably have just switched and never stopped. No point in starting back up now though.

Prob for the best, but it helped me stop dipping after 15 years.

I’ve don’t off and on Camel Snus for a few years after doing Cope for a while. Doesn’t mess with my breath or make me spit.

When I quit I get lethargic and cranky.

If it’s my lone vice, I’m fine with it.

I’ve never smoked a cig in my life.

What about caffeine? And ADHD meds that are easy to get?

Not everything is a government conspiracy.

America has gotten a lot fatter since they banned ephedra. It’s safe if used properly and works better than anything I’ve ever had for pre work out energy. I didn’t realize how it suppressed my appetite for awhile because I’d only take a small dose to give me energy to work out after shifts as a resident. Could still sleep that night to. One metabolife and one small coffee and I’d blow through a 90 minute workout, go home and cook, play with the kids, get my paperwork done and hit the sack. If I could smuggle that shite from Europe, I would.

I never wrote adipex when it was out. Ephedra works better and cleaner.

Why compare those two?

I cannot convince my wife that nicotine by itself isn't harmful, or isn't as harmful as dipping.

I dropped dipping 5 years ago and have been using Zyn since then. She's on my arse all the time to quit spouting how it's unhealthy and I'm going to get cancer. If I mention that there's no proof nicotine alone causes cancer, I get the "the Zyn crap hasn't been around long enough to see long term effects"

It's a losing battle every time

Marijuana is illegal. Benzos require a prescription. Alcohol requires a specific license to sell and has warning labels and often a higher age to purchase. This is just a dumb argument.
