For those of us who are Engineers, Doctors, Scientists….the people who provide REAL…

Value….Do the DOGE results and actions make us more valuable and sought after as the real problem solvers?
Is this the death knell for career politicians?

There are a lot of professions/ careers that provide value that are blue collar.
You sound like an elitist.

As a physician, DOGE wants to audit us for overpayments from Medicare and Medicaid. While I hope I did not actually make a mistake and over bill by like $500, I suspect they would find most of us underbilled… except for the slime who are bilking the government and taxpayers.
With Medicare and Medicaid going bankrupt, it is in my interest for them to catch the bastards and keep paying me.
If I (unlikely) over billed, then I will pay back the $200 and $500 fine or whatever.
DOGE is great for everyone except the bad guys

I’m also a doctor. Hell Medicaid and Medicare reimbursements are already terrible. But guess what, they don’t go down if you don’t take insurance! DPC for the win

I'm an Engineer and I support this.
Engineer, Scientist, Doctor are just jobs.
It doesn't make the person more valuable than a teacher, plumber, garbage man.
No one here invented penicillin.

These DOGE guys are generally brilliant and they are brilliant in their specialized field, computer science and computer engineering.
I'm sure they have capable minds to specialize in any science field (because they are naturally good at math and logic) and probably can learn really quickly but despite being brilliant in computer science there is a big jump for example from being a computer scientists working for DOGE and being a metallurgical engineer for Space X components on Elon's rockets.

No.

Real value?
Real value is you being in Indiana, hopping in your truck, and going to restore power down in NC or Florida.

You are no more sought after
Than a plumber, electrician, or welder.

Guess who keeps these unhealthy mf’ers working? Everyone plays a role.
If I get to count the impact on the economy from people I’ve saved it would be enormous. There’s that. Just like everything, some doctors are better than others, but quality isn’t rewarded, volume is.

I remember voting for Cassidy thinking, "well at least he is a doctor and not a lawyer".

For many? Yes. In every field and occupation.

You pious, pompous frick.
I’m blue collar as frick. I just got put on suspension from USAA for “egregious overbilling”. A whopping $500 for using OEM parts to repair 2024 vehicle. (And my estimator had verbal permission to use said parts).
I hear you- you’re a physician and I’m a lowly blue caller guy. My responsibility is to repair vehicles and restore them back to their manufacturers’ specs so that if, God forbid, they’re ever in an accident again, they don’t have to come see your pill-pushing arse.
I can’t “overwrite” to cover my losses from insurance like you can. I have to show the receipts for the Tylenol I provide.
