Means they weren’t really protecting anyone when 25% credit cards and Afterpay on designer purses exist.

Useless organization

So what the hell is CFPB?

It’s a regulatory body created by Dodd Frank act to regulate financial services in order to protect consumers. They make up their own regulations and create fake laws to hinder financial institutions from doing business.

But how and why? Well, Elizabeth Warren was the brainchild of the CFPB and saw that it was staffed with bipartisan enforcement staff to carry out regulation and oversight enforcement. Oh wait, did I say bipartisan? I meant you only got hired if you’re a Democrat. And they’ve all stayed on with the Bureau ever since. Until now…

Stupid to get rid of it - use it as a hammer and make Dems regret it.

The wikipedia page was edited to say
quote:

Since its founding, the CFPB has used technology tools to monitor how financial entities used social media and algorithms to target consumers. Elon Musk is currently trying to illegally shut it down. [2]

Excellent summation.

Thank you.

I hope Erik Prince has some people assigned to Elon, because Mr. X is absolutely dismantling the establishment from the ground up. It's been two and a half weeks. This is awesome.

My company actually used the CFPB after some checks were washed to the tune of over 250k. The bank hadn't refunded the money because they weren't able to recover from the banks that cashed the checks so after 3 months of hearing we will get back to you, we filed a complaint with the CFPB and we got the money back 2 weeks later with a letter from the bank. It was a sob story saying even though we were unable to recover all of the funds, we are refunding you the money... as if they wanted us to feel bad for them and that they were doing us a favor, when the law says they have to refund you the money in 3 months if the victim wasn't involved in the fraud.

I really think the bank wouldn't have done that had it not been for CFPB.

Wonder have that's gonna affect the mortgage industry? I'm sure some of the protections will stay in place.

It means Pocahontas is going to be livid. Elon will let her react then he will let America know why it had to end.

She 100% created it thinking she was going to run it, then someone else was appointed to run it. If I recall it had zero oversight from congress and was no doubt meant to be just like USAID: an unregulated, unconstitutional agency with no oversight or governance on its funding or spending.
