Works been crazy. I need to take a trip to relax in the next few months. Gonna go somewhere solo. No wife, kids, or friends. Just me.
Probably just 4 nights.
Price doesn't matter.
Don't want to go to any big cities.
I'm thinking somewhere relaxing in Mexico but also thinking about doing a scenic train ride.
Would really like to do a horseback trail ride in montana but it'll still be too cold for that when I'm looking to go (sometime late March through late April).
Anyway. Looking for the board's advice on this.
TIA.

Hedonism II is what you seek!
If not...
Based upon my interests...
1. Tour the Olympic Peninsula. Take a ferry to Vancouver Island.
Lake Crescent Lodge
2. Go to Banff/Lake Louise/Jasper. Definitely go to Emerald Lake.
Post Hotel
Emerald Lake Lodge
3. Go to Estes Park CO
Pine Haven Resort

Key West, Charleston/Savannah,
Maybe southwest Florida; Naples area but don’t know what their situation is after the recent hurricanes.

Is the post hotel the same owners as post ranch Inn in California?

Go see Mt Rushmore. Lots to see around there. 4 days about right.

No. Looked it up.
The Post Hotel is owned by Canadian Rocky Mountain Resorts (CRMR), which also owns other properties in the Canadian Rockies.
On the other hand, the Post Ranch Inn is managed by Passport Resorts LLC.
We actually never stayed there, but did stay at Chateau Lake Louise and Baker Creek Cabins once, which we loved, just farther away from the lake.

You definitely need more than just 4 nights in Hawaii.

I would tend to agree but when you're by yourself you can pack a lot more into a short time. It helps if you're flying from the west coast too obviously

I've thought about this for a few days. I think that my top choice for a 4-night trip to clear my head would be San Juan, Puerto Rico. You can spend a day touring Old San Juan and the ancient fort, a day relaxing on the beach, a day hiking in El Yunque, and a day doing any number of other things (maybe touring the Bacardi factory and doing a tasting).
Another prime choice for a trip of that length would be Guatemala. If I had four nights, I'd split them between the beautiful colonial town of Antigua and Lake Atitlan. In both places, you can relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings, but you can also go on great hikes up the mountains if you like, their are exquisite coffee fincas that you can tour, etc.

I've thought about this too. My answer is Belize - Caye Caulker. Beautiful beach, lots of restaurants and bars. Diving if you want it. I was there for way too short a few years ago and want to go back to really explore the place.
