A Slidell woman was arrested for her alleged connection to the death of Adan Manzano, a Kansas City reporter who was in Louisiana for Super Bowl coverage.
Authorities arrested Danette Colbert after it was found she was using Manzano's credit card at stores in the New Orleans area, WWL-TV reports. Surveillance footage from Manzano's hotel showed Colbert with him on Wednesday morning before she left the room alone.
Police said Colbert has "a history" of financial crimes and allegations claiming she drugs men, steals money and uses their credit cards.
Colbert faces fraud and theft charges, but it was unclear if further charges would be pursued as authorities investigate Manzano's cause of death.
She most likely accidentally killed him by drugging him. Probably didn't even know the guy died.

Now she's been rearrested for murder.

Authorities say Colbert was the last person seen with Manzano and later used his credit card to make multiple purchases. Investigators found Xanax at her home and Manzano’s medical records showed no prescriptions for the drug.
Jail records show Colbert is facing a second-degree murder charge, while both she and White are also charged with simple robbery, access device fraud, illegal transmission of monetary funds, bank fraud and computer fraud in connection with the case.
Authorities have not disclosed White’s movements after the robbery or why he was in South Florida.
