the level of entitlement and outrage is off the charts.
note that these are several different speakers.

quote:
Hundreds of federal workers from throughout the central Maryland region crammed the Smith Theater at Howard Community College on Feb. 4, invited there by Howard County Executive Calvin Ball to discuss uncertainty regarding their jobs and financial security in the wake of an unprecedented and allegedly unlawful buyout offered by the Trump administration.
quote:
"Donald Trump and Elon Musk … could target the clergy next, people who are whatever they don’t like. We are living in a world like North Korea, like it or not, you don’t know what’s going to get into their minds. How do we live in a society like that, where we have to be so afraid?”
quote:
"It started with USAID, and they will continue with the Department of State. They will continue with the Department of Education. This whole country will collapse. We are at a critical moment where we need you to put everything forward right now.”
quote:
“I want strong people [fighting for me]. Maryland has such a huge population of federal workers, we need to be a very, very loud voice, because we are going to be deeply impacted. I work for Indian Country, and with the ICE raids that are currently happening, they’re targeting Native Americans."
quote:
“[Elon] Musk should probably be arrested. I am not allowed to install a thumb drive into a computer, but he attached a server and exported a bunch of personal information about a whole lot of people. Who knows what he’s doing with that stuff and how he might hold it over our heads? Resign, or else I will give all of your personal information to the Dark Web. And I wonder about what happens if you don’t take the resign offer. Is there some avenue for getting a class-action suit going for unlawful termination?”

I love how no one can articulate any law that’s being broken yet want to arrest people

I didn't think we needed camps.
We need camps.

When corruption is being exposed or shut down, those who scream the loudest during this are usually the ones who have been benefitting the most from the corruption.

The clergy are on the federal payroll?
We already know people who hate him are on the federal payroll, hence the civil service buyouts.

Some poor writer at the Bee was probably writing an article with a similar headline and this dumb arse just ruined it for him. You can't make this stuff up.

I think you may be right. I'm here for it. I can even help with the construction if needed.

It took them almost 3 weeks to even organize a protest.
That alone shows you their urgency and subsequent work ethic.

All that outrage about a government audit. We talking about an audit folks. Really? Trump and Elon must have hit the deep state honey hole. Drain baby Drain.

Imagine these people thinking that they are what makes this country work.

It's because

The waste and corruption in government is indeed a national emergency.

Deport them to their native land!

A lot of arrogant, yet ultimately useless people who’ve been living high on the hog for a long time off the taxpayer tit are about to have their worlds upended. And they’re in a panic.

Well, apparently through USAID some are.

I came into this thread thinking that might be what it’s about.

I’ve been telling everyone on here for two decades now. One of the main reasons I left the Democrat party was because many in the cult would fleece and jail you tomorrow over absolutely nothing.

The AFGE union isn't fighting any of it.
It's funny but the employees are mad that the union isn't doing shite. But the union folks are protecting themselves and not the bargaining employees. They're afraid that if they cause a stink, then they'll get pulled from their full time union position and sent back to their regular government position jobs.
They are freaking the frick out and it's interesting as hell.

In a legal challenge filed today, the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE), AFGE Local 3707, the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, (AFSCME), and the National Association of Government Employees (NAGE) represented by Democracy Forward, are seeking a Temporary Restraining Order (“TRO”) to halt the Trump-Vance administration’s “Fork Directive” Feb. 6 deadline and require the government to articulate a policy that is lawful, rather than an arbitrary, unlawful, short-fused ultimatum which workers may not be able to enforce. The complaint and TRO were filed in Federal District Court in Massachusetts.
