It’s hard to imagine there are hundreds of thousands of parents in Mississippi who can’t afford to make their kid a sandwich for lunch when they are home from school in the summer.

Except Mississippi is doing quite the opposite and actually excelling at educating kids. Even the NYT had to compliment the educational turnaround.

There isn't. Programs like these are largely being used to feed illegals. This is one of the many ways Dems hide the true cost of illegals.

I read the newspaper and news sites on the web every day and I have yet to see a headline "Local child dies due to starvation" anywhere in the media. I have actually read a couple of stories of someone intentionally starving a kid/ kids but that's not the same thing we're talking about here.
