Who else is all in?!?

I've played every mainline Civ game (1 to 6) and some of the Civ derivatives like Master of Magic and Master of Orion. 7 has some huge changes, but I'm all in for the early release.

i'll pick it up in a year when it's patched and fixed from launch on a steam sale.

Haven't really enjoyed it since 4. Seems like theyre changing almost everything this time with only 3 periods, switching
leaders at the start of each period, and letting you have foreign leaders lead your civ. At that point why even have them named as historical figures? Ghandi leading russia in the modern era seems weird.

I’ve been playing as the United States with President Stacy abrams but I can’t ever seem to build enough solar panels to not die from climate change

When it gets discounted to about $30. Yes, I spent $40 on Lyft rides on Saturday, but that's not the point.

Hilarious that I can easily go out on a weekend and blow $100 at a restaurant, including a few overpriced adult beverages. But when it comes to a $20 game I kind of want? Nah, way too expensiv.

But in all actuality, it's less about the money and more about knowing I just won't give it the time anyway in addition to already having a backlog that will outlive me.

Switching Civs multiple times mid game is one of the dumbest things a game has ever done IMO.

I'm sure mechanically it will work well. But to me it just goes against the spirit of what I'm trying to do in a Civ game.

They just remastered it along with releasing new pantheons and modes.

I don't recall aggregated scores like this skew so low. A 40? I know it's an outlier, but sheesh. Unfortunately I can't actually read the reviews at work.

I was pretty disappointed with the leader/civ changes, so I'll just wait for a 50% off or more sale.

I heard they had to cut the space race victory condition because the USAID money got cut and they didn’t have the resources to code in the black ladies that did the moon landing

I can sheepishly admit to playing since Civ I and probably dumping over 1000 hours into Civ II - I played at least 20 hours of Civ II per weekend for months at a stretch.

Civ IV is likely going to be looked at as peak Civ. I did play some 5. I bought 6 when it was on deep discount, but have never downloaded it.

Just too much else going on.

So what's the latest? I'm hearing the UI is a nightmare and the best move is to wait until they fix a lot of shite. I wanted to want this game, but am now just going to wishlist/watch it.
