Chances are, they get way less fitness at home. But this should be required once a day at school.

My kids’ school has PE every day but only after 3rd grade.

Without any supporting links, it’s easy to say that a child’s mind would perform better in the classroom if they were remotely physically fit. Also I would think that there is better classroom discipline.

I remember doing the presidential fitness challenge.

I do not remember there being too many kids that could not perform.

In the old days when I was young you had to pass the same physical fitness test that the president did. Kids used to get bragging rights if they could beat his score. There was pride involved and it built character and self confidence.

Now I want to step outside of the OP what I think is the problem

Progressive filth of this country want children out of shape. They want this nation to fail. They want this nation to die.

That’s why you need to get your young boys on Test and a weight lifting program by the time they’re 10. They’ll thank you later.

My girls and boys have to do pushups, situps and burpees every day.

I dont have a set amount.

Additionally, I’ve been given the look by neighbors because I drop the kids off barefoot at the beginnng of the neighborhood. They run home.

Agree with this and with bringing back organized PT for EVERYONE.

Except for severe handicaps, everyone can participate at their own level.

America needs to be fit.

Get your PT gear on and get in fricking formation. Now

Schools wouldn't do the test now because there could be a child that couldn't pass and we don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. One year when I was in 2nd grade I failed the test, I made sure I never failed it again!

It is sad, even field day in elementary schools are so different than my day. There aren't 1st,2nd, and 3rd place ribbons, they all get participation ribbons, and the winning grade is the grade that showed the best sportsmenship.

PE class became pointless after a certain age. For PE he glass they would just put us in the gym and throw us a basketball or two. The kids that wanted to play basketball could play everyone else was told just to go sit in the bleachers and talk which is what we did.

When I was in 7th grade, I farted in the middle of the situps. Everyone stopped and started laughing. No one passed because of me. Sorry guys.

Schools have also cut back recess time over the years. Young kids, especially boys, need to exert physical energy. Forcing kids to sit in classrooms for 7 hours a day with only an hour break for lunch and recess is insanity.

Its amazing what whites gave up in California. White people built one of the best societies ever in a perfect weather climate...then just flushed it all down the toilet by importing the third world

Hell, in the old days we got 90% of our exercise outdoors on our own. Recess in elementary school was baseball, football and dodge ball with no supervision. Weekends were playing with the neighborhood boys from mid morning till dark.
