I think I've somehow adopted a cat that isn't mine.

Cat comes around. Has no collar. Outside cat but very affectionate. Loves my kids. We fed her when we thought she might have been a stray. Seems well taken care of so not real feral.

Well it's been 3 days and this cat hasn't left. Its been trying to come inside with us. It will straight up sit on your lap, well mine anyway

It killed a mouse last night and left it on my back porch...well its head it didn't eat.

I think this means by cat rights, he owns me now.

But seriously, I would keep the cat if I could. I think it's a community cat someone laid ownership claim to at some point.

Pros are I now have cat benefits with no cat responsibilities.

I don't know where I'm going with this. I might or might not own a cat.

I had an outdoor cat that rehomed herself. Showed up with a brand spanking new collar one day and only comes by for a visit every few weeks now.

This experience seems similar to how I adopted a stranger's wallet recently.

I'd give them $200 for this cat. My kids are that attached. But not real sure what to do. Just ignore and keep feeding I guess.

Congrats on the kittens. Honestly though good. The kids will love it and really after two days there no way in hell you are getting rid of it and dealing with the aftermath.

Sometimes there is nothing better than a little strange pussy that just shows up.

Haven't seen a rodent since I brought a cat home from the shelter a few years ago.

I am more concerned with the neighbor being mad it won't leave my house. And if I take ownership of it by feeding.

Maybe its just not that serious. I mean, it didn't even have a collar.

lol! That’s pretty funny! In reality I think a lot of cats do that. I’ve often wondered how many owners outdoor cats have.

Cats are awesome, love him and give him a great life. I got a call from my housekeeper yesterday morning while I was out of town for meetings all week that my good boy Buddy had passed away in his sleep on the couch. I’m devastated and so is my son. Buddy was there for me during the last five years after my divorce and my ex took my son and moved to Mississippi. He was a great friend and I miss him.
