I watched the first episode and it looks like it’s going to be a fun ride. It’s borderline cheesy and far fetched but not too over the top like the last movie I watched with Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz (which I also liked because I knew it was going to be over the top fake going into it)

The first season was one of my favorite Netflix originals. Great action/thriller series. Haven't started season 2 yet.

I was liking it well enough up until towards the end of S1 where Peter said something about being a patriot. It seemed forced and jingoistic, not authentic. Not terrible, but not great. I'm debating on S2 or not.

I will say I recall liking it more than I did Amazon's Jack Ryan show.

I watched S1 and have no idea what you are talking about.

I just chalked bad lines to the fact he’s not a great actor.

He gets better in season 2. Sounds like a really competitive/smart guy in real life.

Gabrielle Bosso is a super belivable action actor.

Very physical in his fight scenes.

Bas Rutten trained him for something and said, even with very little training, hes a legit dude.

eta: didnt see the post above mine lol

But....its actually one of the least woke shows ive seen in a long time.

Damn, he is a freak.

Been a while but I think it was the very last ep at the end. Am I'm commenting on the line, not the actor, just to clarify. The writing seemed stiff and out of place, but I'll rewatch and double check.

I couldn't make it through the first episode of season 2. I liked season1.

I enjoyed season 1 and almost finished season 2. A poor man’s 24 is a perfect analogy. Wife enjoyed it, too.

The actress who plays Rose is easy on the eyes, but she is terrible as an actress. Regardless, it’s an enjoyable series to binge thus far.

I finished the first season the other day and thought it was half decent. Started watching season 2 and they seem to have dumbed down Rose for whatever reason.

I like him because he’s in shape but they don’t make him a kingfu/ufc dude. Believable.

Fun note about Bosso, he played JD Vance in Hillbilly Elegy.

Night Agent and then Recruit is a nice 1-2 punch for not serious but enjoyable spy Netflix faire.

Yup.

SPOILERISH is guess

my favorite example of that is hes fighting a dude in the pentultimate episode of S2...right when he enters the factory with the gas masks on. He ultimately wins a fight by basically hipdropping a dudes head into a table.

I've been bitching that season 2 is bad from the start. It is so dumb, there is zero reason for Rose to even be in the show, much less in the situations they keep putting her in. My wife wants to finish it, otherwise I would have stopped. It's one of the dumbest story lines/scripts I've experienced in a while. Peter should be in jail for blabbing every damn confidential thing and making stupid decisions everywhere.

Yeah I enjoyed season 1. But I’ve watched two episodes of season 2 and have no desire to finish it.

We’re trying to get through season 2 now. Decent but not as fun as the first season.

Too many things going at once and not much in the way of connecting it all.

I enjoyed season 1 up until the final episode which was so poorly done. Sounds like they kept going the wrong way.
