Well where are the thoughts

Do you mean 5 grams? You ain’t gonna notice shite with 5 mgs of creatine.
But 5 grams will help your muscles store more water and feel fuller.

I take it every day and it helps me recover quicker during workouts and get a bit of a muscle pump as well. Now, drink lots of water while exerting yourself.

I started about a month ago and feel mentally sharper, too. I have sleep apnea so grogginess during the day is an issue, even with a CPAP

No reason NOT to take it. Personally I make sure it's Creapure (German) and not Chinese but you do you.

Every human being on the planet, including children, should be taking a certain amount of creatine daily

First time I've seen this recommended but I haven't been reading this board as much. Why 10g?

Creatine and protein supplements are heavily studied and proven supplements. I'm 47 and take both every day and can tell when I dont. Most of the other stuff is snake oil. Unless you go the pharmaceutical route.

Everything I’ve read recommends 5g and basically says any more isn’t being absorbed and wasted, but I’m no expert so I’m interested to hear the answer on this too.

I did some quick googling and all I found was a page that said men above 200 might benefit more from 8 to 10g.
I'll wait until 777 responds as he has no doubt done more research

How does your boyfriend feel about it

Newer research shows that hyper responders benefitted from 28/g a day. I think 10% of population are hyper responders.
I’ll see if I can find the paper.

Great news! Please start a post whenever you start taking protein powder too. We need to know.

I take 5mg a day now and never really noticed anything but I do it anyway. Figured I might be a non-responder and I think anymore than that and I'd shite my brains out. But I'll give 10 mg a shot
