They are all working off cartel debt. They could also try to climb the ladder and take out the lower level of the organization bringing them in.

Why does my roof cost $18,000 if $5 illegals work it or $25 hour Americans work it? LOL

Just visit Kenner. Half of Honduras lives there, and most of them illegal.

If they strike out on roofing crew illegals, they’re bound to nab some meth heads as a consolation prize. Aim for tree cutter crews as well.

Start w/ the ones getting government benefits. Dudes working hard on roofs and walls should be the last to go.

It is absurd all this is done under the table. If we need a million people to install roofs that is fine, but why can't they have visas? Why do they have to be illegals?

we did full home remodel a few years back. the only crew that didn't have immigrants (i'm not going say illegal as i don't know) was the electrical and plumbing crew.

The carpenter crew was actually full of ex-cons, but he ran it as a ministry to teach people a trade after they got out which was cool.

I think we should have a new visa for them. They pay 10% of their pay directly to the social security account and it used to pay only citizens extra on their SS retirement.

they get no benefits and we get our roofs shingled.

contractors avoid payroll taxes and insurance my man.

people say "paying them minimum wage" but they're more likely getting $10-20 an hour in cash. saves the contractor big bucks.

a guy with a visa has to stay employed and fed knows whoever employs them.

Agreed. There are shite tons of illegals doing manual labor in south Florida. But the violent criminals and the ones sucking off the government tit need to go. If you snag a few in the process that are here just working, so be it.

And you better have a plan to backfill those positions or construction will come to a standstill in this country. If that plan is hire American workers, good luck finding them and BPT pay them which means the increased cost of those services will be passed on to the consumer.

A properly vetted, working visa system is a win-win for ALCON.

Interesting car accident story

So minor rear end car accident with the car in front having three people all young men

All came here to "visit the brother" And then filed for asylum and got a drivers license and Social Security number and now work in the brothers flooring business

When they're illegal they will work for pennies. Put a 25000 fine on anyone hiring illegals. Problem partially solved.

When you hire people with zero paper trail, it is infinitely cheaper.

The real problem is that the general public doesn't hold the general contractors to the fire.

Demand no illegals or you'll find a new gc.

Priorities. Which illegals should you target first?

The criminals and gang members?
The ones not working and on welfare?
The ones that are working hard on construction, etc.?

I say target the first 2 first and after they all have been deported, go after the 3rd.
