After last week’s snow and ice event, it had to refill my car’s washer reservoir.

For the sake of organization and simplicity, why can’t car manufacturers and fluid bottlers come up with a standard size refill bottle to fill up the tank to where you have no fluid left.

That way I don’t have a quart rolling around in the back until I need to fill it again.

I know I sound like Steve Martin in hot dog bun aisle in Father of the Bride.

I’m just spitballing here, but you could always……..not keep the container in your car.

That shits a life saver up here where it snows but I usually just top off the SOs fluids with the remainder.

I probably buy two jugs a year tho. Maybe more cause in traffic that black sludge shite just rains on your windshield from the rooster tails

The Universe is constantly trending towards chaos and you are trying to straighten deck chairs on its titanic promenade deck.

Weird hill to die on.

I use wiper washer tablets. Very convenient. Just drop a tablet in the tank and fill with water. It dissolves and car vibration mixes it.

My stupid commuter car holds just over a gallon of washer fluid. Its awesome. My piece of shite 3/4 ton trucks holds about 7/8 of a gallon. Pisses me off to no end.

My truck takes exactly 1 full bottle of the rain x washer fluid.

since when do they sell washer fluid in a quart? You sure you didn't put transmission oil in there?

That is approximately what I have left when I fill it with the gallon.

Also, the reason you don’t put water in there is because it freezes. If you did that last week your reservoir and plastic lines could have froze and broke the lines. Or if you spray water in sub 32 degree weather your windshield freezes even more.

They also make a Summer formula that is good to about 32 degrees and winter formula that is good to subzero temps and will unfreeze your windshield if it includes an antifreeze solution.

That could be standardized to one gallon/or more for reservoirs.

What did snow have to do with your washer fluid getting low?

Washer fluid?

I'm more concerned about the internet, blacks, mexicans, and China.

1 gallon distilled water. 1 cup of white vinegar. Spoonful of dish soap. 1 cup of rubbing alcohol in the winter. Add blue food coloring if you want.

You’ll never buy the pre-made stuff again.

Oil companies making quart-size containers and car manufacturers making engines that need 4.7, 5.2 qts, etc is a conspiracy I'm sure of.
