Did LSU get rid of the ads on the outfield wall at The Box?

Jay Johnson tweeted a video of the field and there no ads on the wall.

Did they get rid of them or possibly moving to the cleaner, all white design?

Please tell me one of those are true because the colored look is so tacky.

I personally love the solid, blank look.

Now we just need to get rid of the bleachers. Looks cheap!

Seems to be a whole new outfield wall. The new bullpen in RF looks cool with the windows cut into the wall.

My question is: how did they put a bullpen under the bleachers?

It’s about damn time if so. I always hated the ads. We are the only team that has so many.

One of the ways they tried to make the new Box just like the old Box. I’m convinced they even made the new Box signs smaller than the old Box so they could fit more on the wall. Wouldn’t be LSU if they didn’t absolutely whore themselves out.

I believe the ads are going to be in all white lettering and logos similar to the backstop last year.

My company has an ad and yes, it’s just white lettering on the green wall.

I’ll allow it. Even Jay saw how awful all the colors looked.

Next, besides putting chairbacks down the lines, they need to get rid of the purple and gold chairs in the grandstand. All green would be so much cleaner. There is nothing special about the gold seats. It’s an old, outdated “tradition”. Sorry. I can say it. I’ve had season tickets since ‘93.

The green looks darker. I had always said it was too bright and tacky looking

I’m not positive as to the color of the old wall, but the new wall seems to be hunter green.

I can't stand tacky permanent ads in ANY LSU Athletic Venue.

Cheap and Tacky.

They put up the nice Purple Padding in Tiger Stadium, then totally crapped it up with those tacky arse ads!

I don't mind scrolling advertising on the digital boards during breaks in the action, but when the game is being played get that crap outta here.

BTW, I bet the Alex Box outfield wall will eventually be recovered with all the wretched excess ad crap in time for the season. No way they're going to leave it clean and sanitary. No way! (The photo of the clean & blank outfield wall looks amazing!)

They’ll be put up closer to start of the season and it should be white lettering along the wall. Will look clean AF

How do we have this thread every year?

LSU is probably getting $10k+ per wall add. They’re not just going to say no thanks to that. Not to mention the greatest baseball stadiums in the history of the sport were/are covered in signage.

But for some reason a portion of this fan base thinks LSU is trashing up the Box with ads and have been crying about it for decades.
