Plan on taking a day trip to the city the day before the game to take in the atmosphere. Parking at a friends in mid city and ubering downtown. For those of yall that have been in the city for the game, what are some must do events?

Event #1 - dodge the bullets and/or cars while you take in the smells of garbage, urine and occasionally weed.

Event #3 close the I-10 and 610 down every time Taylor Swift needs a police escort.

I’m sure a bar has some sort of day party for the game.

1. Try to avoid Philly fans. They are absolute vermin.

There’s a mentalist in the quarter who can tell you where you got your shoes.

Or don’t avoid them, seek them out and whip their arse.

I live in New Orleans and I’ll be going to Biloxi that weekend to get away from all the shite.
Have fun!

Thanks. Also fine with walking around and drinking. We are leaving our daughter with my mom. Maybe Barstool will have some shite going on
The rest of yall have been a hell of a lot of help

People will get their "dodge the gun shots" jokes off.
Last time it was here I was a senior in high school, so it was a little different. We just walked around and drank and took in the sights. I would recommend going down to the quarter/CBD and go to as many events as possible.
I don't have links readily available, but google will show you a shite ton of things to do. There will be booths all throughout the French quarter and river walk, celebrities all over the place, fan fest at the convention center is a must.
It's genuinely a really cool feel when the super bowl is in your city, especially somewhere like New Orleans where everything/everyone is close in proximity. So, short answer long, I would google around and go look at the NFL website for activities. I live uptown and I can't wait to go down there for the weekend.
This link from NewOrleans.com has some activities.

Hasnt the bullet thing gotten way better since Landry put state police down there?
Obviously the electric truck thing happened.
