Why did we get rid of Wade?

It will go down as one of the worst decisions in LSU sports history. Having a consistent winner who had the potential to take things to the next level and you fire him because the AD had no backbone to stand up to a well known corrupt organization (NCAA). Woodward should not have a job right now.

Because he is a lying cheater. Spare me the its legal now and everyone did it then. He had a chance to cooperate like everyone else in that mess did but he chose the sinners route instead. You cant just lie when youre caught red handed and expect to get away with it. We are supposed to set an example for the youth and keeping him would have been the wrong choice. Think about it this way. Would you want your child to lie to your face when you caught them? No. You would want them to confess and ask for forgiveness and choose the path of righteousness. LSU has too much at stake being a leader of men to sink to the levels of alabama and nicm saban. They truly set the college sports world back decades due to their antics. I for one am proud of the backbone LSU showed by putting faith amd morals above losing in the first round of the tournament every year

Because Will Wade signed a contract that essentially said if there were level 1 allegations made against the men’s basketball program, he would be fired. Will Wade signed this contract, knowing he had been paying players from his personal checking account.

Look, I liked Will Wade as LSU’s head coach. He made LSU basketball fun again. We weren’t going to win national championships with him as our head coach, but we did win a lot of games.

As is the case when any employee gets fired, Scott Woodward didn’t fire Will Wade, Will Wade fired himself.

People forget just how young Wade was. He was 35 in his first season at LSU. He had so much potential to grow. Took over a disaster of a program and made them winners. He's 42 now with so many years ahead of him. He would have eventually gotten LSU to the Final Four. I have no doubt.

People also forget that he had a lawyer that advised him to not speak to his boss. Not many people are gonna survive a job when they refuse to talk to their boss about potential issues.

We got rid of wade because ncaa had football dead to rights and offered to only put us on probation for football if we got rid of wade

Bc Scott is the only AD scared of the ncaa. He also hates that Wade was holding him accountable for promises to improve facilities.

No school has faced any legitimate punishment in years. Kansas with much worse charges told the ncaa to frick off. We should have done the same
