I put it in the same category as wrestling….grow up.

you should put a basket on one of those and deliver random party favors and alcohol to your neighbors when they're outside for shiggles

Do you have a link to how to get started? I remember being obsessed with anyone that had a Tamiya Grasshopper (or better) in Japan in the 80s. Considering what I just paid for a shitty pair of shoes for my 11 year old, I could easily get into the game now and cause chaos.

Tigerbutt and I are the only ones in this thread who have had sex.
With other people, of course.

Back in the day I had one of these.
One day there was a car coming down the road and I was being a smartass and driving it under the car, it started slowing down for a stop sign so I went to come out from the side of the car and I was closer to the back tire than I thought. I slowed down and the car ran over it. Then I got a Honet.
I forgot what happened. I used to be able to handle them a little bit too good that I would try to do shite I had no business trying so no telling. The only reason my dad bought me a third one was because I was a good driver and did well when he brought me to the track. So my third car was a striker.
About 15 years ago a friend of mine took out his grasshopper to let his son play with it and his son, who was.. 6.. 7 years old at the time struggled with controlling it. I had two motors for the striker and I put the slower motor in and gave to him to let his son practice using something slower.
They are fun, but when I drive them I will always attempt shite I shouldn't without thinking about it. Just driving them evidentially gets boring so I end up jumping them off of shite or trying things that in my mind I know I can do, but in reality its a little too risky so its best I stay away from them.
My dad used to fly RC airplanes. I never flew them because I knew he would kill me if I wrecked them and I didn't trust myself enough to even want to try, however; my brother planted one right into the ground, but it was a mechanical problem.

My cousin was into RC shite when I was younger and it always looked pretty fun. But I never got into it as a hobby. I didn’t even know it was still a thing these days honestly. But some of those trucks in the OP look fun.

I used to have a T-Maxx. I have a couple of Tamiya electric MINI Coopers, one a classic body, the other a new style. I haven't busted them out in forever, probably need new batteries.

That brings me back. I used to have an associated gas car and losi off-road buggy. Been thinking about getting my son into it but I’m way behind on what they have now.

It is and he used to buy the kits to put them together, but I never had an interest in flying them. I liked to watch him fly them, but it was something I just wasn't comfortable doing. There was little room for error. Same with RC boats. I think RC boats are cool as hell, but the second I get used to driving them I would do something stupid.

Yeah, I can't imagine putting together a model of the USS Constitution and having that shite get wrecked by a dog in Central Park.

While they aren’t technically allowed at the National Battlefield Parks, I’ve seen some pretty badass rigs making it up my mountain easier than humans do and I won’t snitch on them. Not my thing at all and I get a chuckle out of all age kids to adults following a small line of RC vehicles while controlling them up a mountain. I always laugh and shake my head.
There are worse hobbies.

Raced one of these bad boys back in the late 80s...

I have this one..,
And the right backyard to run it in…
But I don’t play with it nearly enough.
