WASHINGTON, DC - Congressman Andy Ogles introduced a House Joint Resolution to amend the Constitution of the United States to allow a President to be elected for up to but no more than three terms. The language of the proposed amendment reads as follows:
‘‘No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than three times, nor be elected to any additional term after being elected to two consecutive terms, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice.’’

If we are going to put a 12 year cap on the president then put a 12 year cap on congress too.

Now this is how you write a headline.
Facing FBI investigation that Trump could halt, Andy Ogles proposes allowing third term for president

Well currently we only have an 8 year cap on President, and we don’t need to add to it.
We need term limits and age limits in all three branches of Federal Government.

Ahh…so that’s why this Congress Critter is wasting time on a virtue signal bill.

Nope. He worded it specifically to accommodate Trump, according to the press release. His amendment specifies that no one who has served three terms, or who has served two consecutive terms, can run again.

8 years is plenty, even for Trump. Give me Vance in '28.

Nah…man. We should just let Trump serve till he dies.
Then pick Trump Jr. Then Eric. Then Barron.

USSC is the acronym for the United States Sentencing Commission.
The acronym you’re looking for is SCOTUS.

Theoretically term limits and age restrictions are bad ideas, but the American voters are too stupid to vote in the best interest of the country. The seniority rules don't help either.
Back when Mary Landreau was still around I had many conversations with a conservative gentleman that said it was better for the state to re-elect her because of her seniority than to replace her with a Republican. I'm sure many feel the same way with Cassidy. The margins are too tight to risk votes that would benefit the entire country in hopes of additional pork being allocated to the state
