I’ve heard and seen a few pics from port Sulphur. Anyone else have confirmation in how bad it is ?

I’m sure it’s going to be bad. The freeze that hit Texas a could years ago wrecked their estuaries

Four degrees under 40 is not a good recipe for Speckled Trout at all.

Would this likely effect fishing for this weekend? Do these kills only happen in shallow waters in the marsh?

SWLA and we dipped probably 300-400 fish Wednesday and again yesterday morning. and I know the other boats we seen got at least that many maybe more. All the duck guides were going back and forth with ice chests full all day. This morning there must have been 30-40 boatsw headed that way i assume to do the same, word got out quick. I was surprised at the amount of flounder we found, wasn't expecting many of those in January. Started grabbing everything and then realized there is enough Specks, Reds and flounder there was no reason to fool with sheepsheads, sand trout and big croakers. Its pretty bad in large shallow areas. Ship channels and bayous did fine it seems.

Saw a pic from Golden Meadow. Looked like small white trout

It typically takes several days for those fish to float to the surface so we haven't even begun to see the damage yet. Deeper water where barge traffic is around typically do not far very well either. The inner coastal waterway with the barge traffic will likely have some of the worst fish kills like we have seen in the past.

Anybody got any reports of fish kills in the Delacroix area?

Is this legal? I mean I hope it is legal but would be surprised if it is.

It should be legal, pretty dumb for all those fish to go to waist , but with this state it wouldn't Suprise me

Received a text last night confirming fish kill in Delacroix. Couple hundred redfish and drum. Not as much trout but still a decent quantity. This was all close in area (few miles from launch)

Not legal and can still be charged with over the bag limit and size limits.
