Well the price of everything you will buy will go up 20 to 30 percent. I'm not sure you will like no income tax as you think.

Well, everything would cost more, BUT, more of my paycheck would go in the bank to help pay for everything that costs more. So there's that. If the "more paycheck" is more than the price increases, then I'd consider that a win.
ALSO... the IRS ain't coming to an end. Federal income tax is NOT going to be totally, or even partially, eliminated. SO there's that.

Guess what? I could then determine how much I pay, based on my own strategy. Not some lifer congress critter

If tweet fails to load, click here. Didn’t we just restore the original name for Mt McKinley tonight?

Shifted toward more of a 'consumption tax', which is fair... the more you spend the more taxes you pay.

Consumption tax model. Wouldn’t mind having complete control of my income to make my own decisions on what I use but won’t happen

That would be an acceptable trade-off for me even if it was a wash for most people.
It would be more fair and less able to be used as a lever for government to control/influence behavior, and also less able to be used as a political narrative to stoke class warfare.

For the 97th time consumption taxes are regressive and disproportionately harm the poor.
I would love to see all the seething and reeing if you dumbfricks got your wish and get smacked with 30% tax on your new car and your new house.
The tears would be so fricking delicious. You retards already did this in Louisiana and there have been several threads seething about a 10% sales tax.

1) true but I have the option to purchase or not purchase. Currently I don't have the option to pay/not pay taxes
2) can't put tarrifs on things already here (made in the USA)
And I do understand that even if widget xyz is made here, that doesn't necessarily mean the parts used to make widget didn't come from overseas, which would raise the price
In any regards, I'm a better steward of my money than the government 100/100 times

Well, it goes up for the MOFO without income also. Let me keep my money and spend where I desire.

No one cares that dumb, poor people smoke cigarettes and play the lottery. I also don’t care if they would pay a higher percentage of their income buying shitty liquor.

You have a point.
Until the government reduces its operating costs and US production shifts to a large percent domestic, the 20% you pay in income will be recouped through higher prices.
But…. It’s step 1 in doing the 2 things I mentioned above. It’s a long game strategy. This is what transformation looks like.
