Possible Shift in the CFB Top Five All Time….

Alabama is the undisputed top program of all time and it will be years if that ever changes.
Oklahoma, USC, Ohio State can be interchangeable. Notre Dame is barely #2 and could be among this group because of their major drought.
Poll era National Championships:
Alabama - 13
Notre Dame - 8
Oklahoma - 7
Southern Cal - 7
Ohio State - 6
If Notre Dame wins, they are a solid #2 behind Alabama.
If Ohio State wins, they can easily claim a solid #2 behind Alabama.
USC hasn’t been anything since the 2008 season.
Oklahoma has done everything but hoist the trophy that matters. Since their seventh national title in 2000, they are 0-3 in NC games and 0-4 in CFP semifinals, but they have stayed relevant.
If the Buckeyes win…
1. Alabama
2. Ohio State
3. Notre Dame
4. Oklahoma
5. USC

Is it depressing realizing your program’s new trajectory is Arkansas and Missouri?

Oklahoma might win the SEC once in the next 25 years.

OSU doesn’t jump ND with a win.

bama is definitely #1. that being said, Michigan has 12 natties, 44 big ten titles, and is 62-51-6 all time vs OSU, which has 8 natties, 39 big ten titles and a current 4 game losing streak to UM
also, Michigan is 25-17-1 all time vs ND, and taught the Irish how to play football

Disagree. Their resume is superior to Michigan and Texas.

Michigan's lack of national titles post-1950 keeps U-M from being higher. I still can't believe U-M never won a title under Bo.

Michigan has 3: 1948, 1997, 2023. Wolverines claim titles back when the Ivy schools were dominating. Anything before 1936 anyone can make a claim. Buckeyes have 6, not 8.
