Huh?

Experts say climate crisis was likely responsible for a quarter of the dryness that fueled the fires’ rapid spread

quote:

As Los Angeles’s deadly wildfires continue to burn, a group of survivors is taking aim at the industry most responsible for fueling climate disasters: fossil fuels.

Residents impacted by the blazes lamented during a Thursday conference call losing their homes and communities and called for litigation and policies that could force big oil to pay for the damages. In the coming days, lawmakers will introduce legislation with that aim in mind.

“It is hard to properly express how much was lost,” said Danielle Havanas, whose home was destroyed by the Palisades fire last week. “How do you communicate the value of your deceased mom’s journal from 1981 when she was pregnant with you?”

Scientists are still working to determine the degree to which the climate crisis exacerbated the ongoing Los Angeles fires, but existing research makes clear that global warming creates the conditions for more severe and frequent fires. And UCLA climate scientists this week determined that the climate crisis was likely responsible for a quarter of the dryness that fueled the fires’ rapid spread.

Because there never were fires in California before bullshite global warming theories came out.

But there were functioning hydrants, fire trucks, competent leaders and reservoirs full of water. Suing the wrong people Francis.

Maybe cut of gas supplies to CA so they won’t be affected in the future.

If something is that important you would have it in a fireproof safe.

I’m sure that’s a very scientific finding and will hold up in court.

I don't know how many times I can post this: drought essentially is irrelevant to these fires and droughts are no more common in the area in question than they were 100 years ago.

Additionally, climate change models would predict LOWER WINDS, so we know that also wasn't climate change.

And the gas stove manufacturers! Make them pay for it too!

It’s very simple, close down all the refineries in the state and stop selling the products there. I think Valero announced that they are closing their last refinery all ready.

No more gasoline to any part of California. Let them run 100% on magical electricity.
