The UTV/ATV/SxS market has completely lost it's mind regarding pricing!

Who is buying these things that cost more than a full on street legal passenger vehicle???
Who the F is paying $20-$40K for these things?
And ski boats?!?! That's long been insane. Many ski boats cost more than the average house these days.

People buying them and putting $15k worth of modifications on them, they've nearly replaced the entire snowmobile market from what I have seen in Wisconsin.

The last four years have been incredible for us in the Oil and Gas industry.

You can get good financing usually. We only pay $485/month on ours.

That's more than my truck note for a 2018 F150

Had been looking at a basic SXS. Like $20k. Stupid

Same as vehicles and bass boats.
They are fricking us down hard, and as long as people pay crazy prices it’ll only get worse.

The basic mom and pop light utility SXS out in front at Tractor Supply has $9k on the sticker. Absurd.

I'm not sure how to tell you this, but some people can afford things.

It’s stupid. I wanted one but ended up just fixing my FILs taco that sat in a pasture for a decade.

I use my golf cart to hunt
If it can’t make it to my stand/blind, I don’t need to be there

I have a 21 RMAX4 1000 I paid cash for. The new ones MSRP for $28k.
I occasionally go with friends to Cross Bar Ranch on central Oklahoma, but mine isn't enough to go up the hardest climbs there. You'd probably need to spend 30k plus to have the clearance and suspe sion required on some trails.
I do enjoy getting out on my land and going 40+ mph cross country to feed cattle or throw the chainsaw in it and go. I probably use my 4 wheeler more than the sxs though.

Said by someone who probably pays more in a car not but still rents and can't afford a down payment on a house

I gave a buddy $100 for a 2005 Yamaha Rhino that had been sitting in his barn for about 5 years.
Dumped old fuel, replaced fuel lines, cleaned carb, replaced plug, battery, oil, oil filter, and air filter. Replaced the dry rotted tires. Fired right up and has not failed to start since.
That was 7 years ago and it still runs great. Not super fast (40mph top) but is VERY easy to work on. Great design with the exception of rear brake not being on the hubs but is on the center drive line. I just disconnected it and just use front brakes.
Awesome machine. Very little electronics, sensors or useless crap that is expensive to repair.
I would not own one with all the electrical crap and plastic gears etc.
