I do feel like this is one of those storylines that the public has a wild perception of.

theyve gone 12-5 in every season that didnt have Dak missing 10+ games.

Thats nothing to sneeze at.

So they’ve been talking for weeks and just now decided to try to resign him? What?

I completely disagree with you point, this is not a Mike McCarthy issue, while he is not the best coach in the NFL, he has proven capable of winning a Super Bowl and plenty of playoff games.

But I do completely agree with your statement. It is insanity that Jerry is still running this team and people will still get convinced that the Cowboys are going to make some sort of run next year. As long as Jerry is setting the market price for players that are not top market in both talent and leadership (Dak doesn’t have the talent, CeeDee doesn’t have the leadership) and continually neglecting extremely important position such as interior defensive linemen, then the cowboys will not make a serious run at things. They may do well in season, but with enough time to prepare any time can such the cowboys down and score against them.

Until Jerry Jones removes himself from the equation I don't think it really matters who the coach is.

With Prescott, Lamb and Parsons deals they won't have any money to fortify the roster.

Pretty much. We never think they're the best team but for a variety of reasons we treat it like they've failed when they don't finish as the best team.

The point is MCarthy is a good coach. If Jones can’t get out of his own way, that’s one thing, but to suggest McCarthy sucks is just wrong.
Firing him to task chance on one of these young coordinators would be stupid not just risky.

I’m prob more baffled that McCarthy wants to come back. Especially w other teams wanting to interview him. With Dak, Lamb, and Parsons eating up salary cap space…how much can they improve?
Working under Jerry’s thumb cannot be fun. Philly and Washington are not going anywhere as strong division competitors. Will need to hire a new DC (3rd in 3 years).
I get that there is a cache for some people regarding the Cowboys but I just think if he was serious about winning he would look elsewhere.
Jerry cares about publicity more than wins.

He is definitely a problem. As is Dak. But the Jones family is the biggest problem

nothing will change. They are in cap hell and Dak is the highest paid player in history.

McCarthy isnt a bad coach.

If McCarthy resigns with Dallas he is nuts and they deserve each other.

I’m a Cowboys fan and I’m shocked he’d even want to come back to this clownshoes franchise.

It's not just Jerry. Stephen Jones is heavily involved too. The entire family needs to back out of football operations and hire a real GM.
