Cliffs:

- He's on the 17th hole and was worn out at ND, and thought he could go down to LSU and win a natty really quick and they threw a pile of money at him he never thought he'd make.

- ND has a young coach with energy and doesn't lose guys to the portal and their alumni network is gigantic and rich.

- SEC schools besides Texas just don't have the $$.

Discussion begins at 1-min mark:

Notre Dame was willing to match LSU. Kelly didnt give them the opportunity to match. He wanted a new gig

Brian Kelly took ND to the national championship. Not sure Freeman will ever do that

Cowherd don’t know shite about CFB. I remember in 2019, he had Urban Meyer on as a guest and didn’t even know that Burrow was at OSU before LSU and made the fact known to Urban live on air.

He’s a dumbass.

Brian Kelly demanded a lifetime contract, ND refused and said he could look for other jobs.

Glad he's gone.

LSU fans will cope over this but it's probably true.
