I'm taking a soon-to-be seven year old granddaughter out for her birthday and could use recommendations for the best mac and cheese in the Baton Rouge area. Thanks in advance for your help!

Not sure if your 7 year old would like it, but I love J Alexander’s.

When my daughter was 7, her favorite place to go was Chili’s for the Kraft Mac n cheese kids meal. We tried to tell her we had it at home, but she swore it was better.

Probably not the best, but I took my 7 year old out last night for his birthday dinner, and he wanted to go to Mr. Gatti's for the Mac and Cheese, and Smores pizza...........and the arcade

But seriously, he says it's the best.....but he's 7

I think what a seven year old loves and what adults will say are very different. I already saw someone mention J. Alexander’s which has quite a strong flavored cheese. I’m not sure most kids would like it.

I have until the end of the month for her birthday dinner. I appreciate and will certainly research your suggestions.

Mr. Gatti's for the Mac and Cheese,
. Surprisingly good. They have Mac & Cheese pizza which is weirdly good as well.

Yep my son loves going to IHOP and Denny's for their mac n' cheese. It's the exact same thing we have at home

Ruth's Chris has a damned good lobster mac and cheese. Of course it's an expensive night out, but you could have a great steak while she's having her mac and cheese.

This sounds like a great idea for a 7 year old. That plus the arcade games would be a blast for a kid that age.

Mac and cheese at Wholefoods in their back BBQ section is pretty solid. I guess they have it in the front too, IDK?
