Tried on the ole tux getting ready for Mardi Gras ball season. It’s a no go baws. Too much holiday cheer I guess.
Where have you baws found a tux that A) didn’t cost $500 bucks and B) wasn’t “slim”’or “modern” fit. I’m not built for that.

Thought I had an easy fix. They are all “slim” or “modern” fit. Nope.

When I was younger (IE broke), I bought one from K&G in Metairie. Only wore it once or twice a year, so it worked. Have since purchased one from John’s Tuxedos. They will sell you a new or used tux, will also rent or sell suits. Did not know that until recently.

If you want cheap and you want into fit sloppily (aka not modern) just buy the cheapest one you can find online. Thats what I did for my Mardi Gras tux
Found one for $50 from some random tux store in Texas

As others have said, Tuxedos to Geaux is the answer. $180 for a standard tux including shirt, tie, and cummerbund. Also includes lifetime alterations. Mardi Gras tie/vest will be a little more, but it's still a great deal from a quality local shop. I own 3 tuxes/suits from them and couldn't be happier.

No BS...Banana Republic. Look at the Factory store site. Great tux for the spend.

Vera Wang tux around $700.
You can get separates, so everything fits right and looks good. Bought one for my previous wedding.
Men's Wearhouse is crap, for the most part, but Vera Wang tuxes are legit.
