They have the Saints going D with our first 3 picks, then grabbing WR Kyren Lacy with our extra pick in round 3

WR Kyren Lacy

If he learns how to be a pro this would be a huge pick. But I have my doubts.

Just don’t think he’s explosive enough. We need more guys that can actually take a top off defenses. We definitely need a rb who can score a 70 yarder without getting run down if the situation presents itself. Kamara is great but he’s not a speed demon. Outside of shaheed coming off a major injury we don’t have anyone with actual juice in a league full of big play guys.

Keep MVS and Shaheed

Lacy is a good enough to play underneath those guys.

Let me help.

quote:

10 Malaki Starks S | Georgia 6'1" 205 lbs
42 Princely Umanmielen EDGE | Ole Miss 6'5", 255 lbs
74 Alfred Collins DL | Texas 6'5", 320 lbs
90 Kyren Lacy WR | LSU 6'2", 213 lbs

I don’t hate it. I’d rather get one of the top pass rushers in the 1st and get an OG or DT in the 2nd. But we need talent at all those positions.

We need a Lacy type of WR. But I don’t want him. He doesn’t have the best hands and he’s a dumbass. And I don’t know if even Curtis Johnson could fix him.

Agreed. I would take that list tomorrow and hopefully hit with both 4th rd picks. Huge opportunity to add (6) new, young, talented players to the mix.

Unless your safety is the second coming of Troy polamalu or Ed Reed, I don't ever think a top 15 safety is worth it.

Olave ran a 4.3

We have plenty of speed with him and Shaheed at WR. You can make that argument with RB but not WR. That’s a laughable take at best.

Agreed. Much rather Mykel Williams or Nic Scourton in the first. Everything else is fine. Even if you want to double dip at pass rusher. Whatever. Not like we have much future there

Same, don’t hate it; but not crazy about it with Banks going 11, Walker at 12, or Grant at 15.

I’m just not the biggest fan of Starks. I know UGA fans who even say he’s really overrated and not that good of a player.

We need to go linemen early. Safety is a replaceable position via later round or Fa.

Yeah. If a top rusher is there you take over safety.

Nah. It’s obvious to anyone with a set of eyes that Olave is not an overly twitchy guy. He plays significantly slower than 4.39. He’s smooth in his routes in the intermediate game for sure though.

Shaheed is a legitimate burner but he is now coming off a season ending knee injury and will have to be paid. Factor in Olave being one hit from retirement and yeah…we need more juice in addition to actually having a decent number of wide receivers.

Laughable is having 2 nfl caliber WRs on a roster.

The saints need the exact opposite of what you listed. They need a big bodied wr. They have a ton of speed. And to call Olave a slow 4.39 guy is comical. He’s switch elite level route runner who just can’t stay healthy.

This mock above is also terrible btw.

No.

What is considered big bodied in the modern nfl? 6’1”, 200-210ish? Because outside of only a few outliers THAT has become the new WR1 prototype.

lol that’s all they have

They need bigger targets who create easier throws. Lacy is a jumbo slot who can get open and is really good after the catch. He’s a Temu Mike Thomas
