I see a lot of people linking him to the saints for head coach. His defense sucks.

No way to know.

especially considering what we assume the Saints will have next year also considering what said head coach will target as a need based upon what that coach believes in as far as team building.

Allen wasn’t either yet that idiot Loomis still hired him.

Allen wasn’t a good head coach. But his defenses were always tough until this year. The few times I’ve seen the lions play this year Glenn’s defense looks terrible.

We are consistently injured. Can't really be an excuse coaching here

IKR, I can’t believe this board is already making excuses for him. He would likely deal with serious injuries here as well.

How so?

^^^ 17 defenders on IR. Earlier this season when relatively healthy, their D was top 10 defensive DVOA.

EB was a successful OC mainly bc he was under a great offensive HC.

His defense is a triage unit, down to the 3rd or 4th deep at multiple positions.

They've lost 2 games. And it ain't Dan Campbell calling the D.

Sadly that's probably his top target ... Don't expect a Big Splash hire with the fans. The only one think it will be a great hire is Mickey.

And Aaron Glenn will be a Pure reach hire, not a terrible hire, but one the Saints can't afford to do at this time..

To be honest the Saints can't allow Mickey Loomis to make this Hire. Or to be the general manager.

Hope Gayle realizes this before her investment (Saints) goes down in flames.

I’d prefer the coach that turned Goffs career around.

Rams had to pay the Lions a first to take him. And that’s after the boy wunder gave up on him.

It’s as if most of you don’t even watch football outside of a few quarters of saints games. The one team in the league who has suffered injuries at the rate of the saints is the lions and most of it is on defense. Before they got depleted with injuries i believe they gave up on avg about 19 points a game. Holding 3 opponents to single digits. The last 5 weeks have been bad but their entire dline they started the year with isn’t even playing. Along with starting linebackers and a db or two. Yes he’s a good coach.

Doesn't really matter. Whoever we hire is not long for this job. No one can turn this shite sandwich around in 3 years so you gotta look towards the coach hire after this one

The Lions defense is loaded at full strength and they get to play off the top offense in the league. Everything Lions is a lightning rod right now. This is the same formula that got Dennis Allen two HC jobs.

Glenn has been there four years, take in the whole body of work, ask yourself what really qualifies him to be your next HC.

If you want to make it race related, Brian Flores is the superior minority coach with the more proven track record. Why isn’t he getting the attention? Because Glenn is familiar to this fan base and the Lions are the more buzzy team.

0.00% chance we’re the team Johnson picks. He’s already said he’s likely to only interview once. He wants a team that has a clear vision from leadership. Does that sound like us?
