re: Cowan, can he start

Greg Maddox got the benefit of a wide strike zone. Not sure how he would fair in today’s game with a lot tighter zone.

Now take out everybody else’s 4 best pitchers and do the math.
If not for Tennessee’s miracle 8th tonight lsu might be going for the sweep tomorrow.

Allen wasn’t a good head coach. But his defenses were always tough until this year. The few times I’ve seen the lions play this year Glenn’s defense looks terrible.

Is Aaron Glenn even a good coach?

I see a lot of people linking him to the saints for head coach. His defense sucks.

I’ve never seen ticks on antlers before

You're just making stuff up.

Come on now.. Its the same stuff in this city after every loss.

Fans feed off good stuff happening. Nothing good happened for about 2 hours of real time.

So the so called best fan base in the league is now only cheering for our team when we doing good??

I'm guessing you have some kind of memory disability or a sever learning disorder.

Yea maybe so. But I can remember last sunday. And the Dome was weak!

How? At this point last year we were 8-2 and every home game was loud.

And after every loss the sky was falling. Before 09, people would have been ecstatic with last years team.

This week's game was as "boring" a home performance as there has been in the Payton era. 3 yards and a cloud of dust from the run, bunch of check downs through the air, and continuous deflating failed stops on D.

No disputing that. But maybe the players could have fed off more energy from the crowd. I know they get paid a lot of money to do their job, but they definitely feed off the home crowd. Positive and Negative

No, I'm saying that they've always done it.

Yea I guess you're right... What about all the empty seats??

Did you attend any games pre '06? Literally the only part of that statement that doesn't apply is the selling for profit
Haven't missed a game since '99..
Are you saying some season ticket holders are not selling their tickets for profit?
quote:

Spoiled is if we're 6-4 right now and fans response was tepid because we aren't the #1 seed.

Which was exactly the case last year...

It just seems like the games now are more of a social event and the thing to do on Sunday. There is a lot of people in the dome who don't have a clue whats going on and have no interest to cheer whether things are going good or bad. Many people are selling their tickets for profit. I can't blame anyone for that. Just wish they would sell to Saints fans that want to cheer the team on. Not to the opposing team. Green Bay was the most away fans that has been in the dome in a long time. San Fran had its share of fans there too...
I couldn't agree more. The dome has not been close this year to what its been in years past. It got noisy on the 3rd and 18 and that's about it. Crowd was completely dead yesterday. Also plenty of empty seats all around the dome. Our fans have definitely been spoiled.
1 Red in Myrtle Grove today.. Very windy and muddy..

Anybody here hunts Big Branch NWR

Looking for some info on duck hunting Big Branch...
First of all.. How is this season going there??
How do most people hunt this area?? Can you walk to ponds? Or do most hunt out of a pirogue or flat boat??

How is the water level there... Would you be able to paddle a 12 ft flat boat through the ponds?? Or too much work??

TIA.... I've only been duck hunting a few times and looking for a place that I can take my son to hunt without having to get there by motor boat....
