“Treasury currently expects to reach the new limit between January 14 and January 23, at which time it will be necessary for Treasury to start taking extraordinary measures.” Yellen wrote.

Yes they are.

But at least Trump will have a real Presidential term without the "Resistance"... After the first term, he may actually get some stuff done without the BS...

That said, yes, things a very bad overall.

Europe is going to crash hard, and Chyna is having some very serious issues as well in their economy, and their culture.

It is still a global economy. And there are some serious headwinds acoming...

Trump needs to follow the law, take extraordinary measures, and cut spending.

Since we departed the Constitution with regard to monetary policy and activity a long time ago, and since Congress has oversight obligations, Trump could take some pretty drastic actions and a solution would be found in about 5 seconds.

If he did this he might become my favorite president. But I have zero faith in it happening.

Will he?

In his first term, the GOPe held the Presidency, House and Senate... and Trump had to seek audiences with Schumer and Pelosi because the spineless RINO wing fought him more vehemently than the Dims did.

I don't expect them to help much this time either, especially considering the dysfunctional histrionics we're already witnessing from them and Trump hasn't even been sworn in yet. Trump will accomplish everything he can outside of Congress and through Executive Order, but I don't anticipate Congress doing much of anything to help him. They're just thinking "ok, four years of this a-hole we'll have to endure again but then he's done, so MAGA will be a dead movement and we can resume business as usual."

Some of them have been run out on a rail and replaced by actual America First patriots, but even more RINOs and warpigs like Eyepatch McNoname have exposed themselves as establishment tools. The swamp is deep, wide and undrainable. At best, the first two of these next four years will be a nice break from the norm, but it's still going to be difficult because the outgoing administration has done everything in their power to set Orange up to fail.

Are they really "extraordinary" if they are used every 2 years or so?

Extraordinary measures: Cut the federal government 40% and I bet the average American wouldn’t even notice a change, let’s do it. Get rid of the Fed too.

I’m amazed at how many people continue to fall for this “debt ceiling” dog and pony show. It’s just political theater.

WAIT!

"They"??????

Who the "F" is "They"????

Because "They" sounds a shite-ton like Chip Roy and Co to me.

You know ... the same effing clown circus, imbecil, Lincoln Project II Repug crew who many here were praising for exactly this stupidity?

---

Now you're trying to blame Dems for the Rebug ineptitude which you supported?
Seriously?
