Over which teams? Beating UGA and Michigan last year would have been a tall order

I’m grateful with what we have won.
Before 2003 I didn’t think I would ever see LSU win a national championship in my lifetime
After getting that first one the rest are just lagniappe.

1908 isn’t the only one that could be claimed, but LSU isn’t like Alabama in that regard.

It takes a team working in unison not a single exceptional athlete.

Yea. None of the players mentioned are on defense... you know, the other half of the team required to win.

I was unaware Josh Allen and Jared Goff went to LSU.

Josh Allen immediately popped in my head as well, even though Burrow is having an incredible year. And people calling JD5 the best in the NFC need to calm down. Best rookie? Yes. Best overall QB? Can’t make that claim.

It's not as far of a stretch as you would think. Take a look at the list of his competition. Goff?

Interesting you guys are going with Allen instead of the guy that’s won 3 SB 2 MVPs and is current locked in as the 1 seed in the AFC for what the 5th time in 6 years? I like Allen, he definitely has a case for MVP this year but the best QB in the NFL played at Texas Tech.
The NFC is more wide open. Even as a rookie JD5 could be in contention especially with another year like this and Goff is the #1 guy.

Josh Allen my arse. Until someone can show they can beat Mahomes when it matters (Josh Allen still can’t) then Mahomes still is and will be the king of the AFC and the NFL for that matter. He’s probably about to get his 4th super bowl ring this year.

Mahomes this year is not better than Burrow. Mahomes and the Chiefs have gotten the benefit of some penalties being called that other teams do not get. The Bengals were screwed in their game against the Chiefs. The Raiders were screwed too when a flag that was initially called a false start being changed to illegal motion. When that call was changed, it allowed the Chiefs to recover a fumble.
