LSU wins the National Title next season. Bookmark it. Call me out if I’m wrong. We win a National Title next season. The CFB world is on notice. We will land a couple of safeties and another o-lineman in the portal. No weak spots into next season. CBK was right, don’t jump on the bandwagon, when we’re at the mountaintop.

Nuss will be a Heisman finalist. RB room is strong, WR corps is unreal. O-line will do what they need to do. The defense is going to be as good as it’s been since the 2019 postseason.

Rag on me if y’all want. I believe. Y’all should too. LSU is heading towards the mountaintop, and there is no room for our negative Nancy fans. CBK rides off into the sunset with a ring, and will prove LSU is the best job in all of CFB.

Definitely reason to think we can compete. A lot of development has to happen between now and then but the roster looks good on paper with both coordinators and QB returning. Continuity is very important in college football.

Certainly has the makings of a CFP team next season.

Getting past Klempson in the opener will be no cake walk, but a road win there builds huge momentum for the rest of the season.

Playing @ Bammer & @ Webels will be challenging, but win 1/2 & hold serve at home, that should do it.

I hope you're right, but the only way I'm betting on it at this point would be if Heung Soro popped on and said it would happen.

Defense wins Championships.

As good as the 2019 Offense was, the Defense overachieved big time.

CBK and his bandwagon can suck my balls. I was a fan before he even dreamed of coaching here. We need to be in the playoffs next year. I hope he can pull it off.

Why do yall do this to yourselves?

If lsu doesn't add 3 or 4 more starter types to the roster, I don't see them anywhere close to a championship.

Just have to hope the mentality of the players match that goal. So much of what made 2019 special was the contagious work ethic of the leaders on that team. Hopefully the established leaders this year see the opportunity to grow their abilities and inspire the newcomers to do the same.

Based on what?

Just because Joe B and JD had vast improvement in their last seasons doesn’t mean Nuss will. That’s just a wish of yours at this point.

In 40 years of following LSU football, I’ve seen way more QBs who stayed the same between their last two seasons than those who had some incredible leap in performance. Can’t throw a deep ball Junior year? Chances are you won’t be able to throw a deep ball Senior year. And so on.

The bowl game won’t prove anything either way because the lineup won’t look like the 2025 lineup.

Fingers crossed your prediction comes true but I think it’s way more likely we’ve seen who Nuss is and that likely isn’t good enough for a national championship.

The first game is always a strong indicator of the team for at least a good chunk of the season. IF we beat Clemson CONVINCINGLY, then yeah I am ready to get behind this mindset that LSU can be a NC contender next season. Things are shaping up well, but I am still concerned about our OC position and play calling there. As much as the defense needs to improve (and yes, defense wins championships), the offense has to light things up like 2019 level stuff.

Don't know that this will happen, but I love the optimistic outlook. The roster is shaping up to be really good, now they have to put in the work.
