Pretty straightforward subject.

Here's a few to start things off:

Movies:

1. "Soylent Green Is People"

2. Humans are living in a simulated world in "The Matrix" to provide power for the machines.

3. Darth Vader: "No, I am your father"

For TV:

1. River Song is Amy and Rory's Daughter (Dr. Who)

2. Oh Il-nam Created Squid Game

What do you have?

The Sixth Sense is one of the GOATs. I'd put Planet of the Apes up there too, and The Crying Game.

The two most surprising twists for me have been Saw and The Usual Suspects.

I still remember how shocked I was sitting in the theater watching the ending of Saw

The Prestige. It's just stupidly simple- Hugh Jackman goes to the middle of nowhere doing impossible sci fi shite with Nikola Tesla just to catch up, and... it's really just so simple.

I walked into the theater and watched ‘A Beautiful Mind’ without knowing anything about it.

Arlington Road is one of the rare films I can remember that the antagonist actually wins and gets away with it. There are very few of those instances. It was fantastic.

I thought the Sophie's Choice plot twist was going to be which of her lovers she going to choose.

Two come to mind:

"The Sixth Sense" and "Primal Fear"

That twist at the end of "Primal Fear" is one I never saw coming and brilliantly played by Ed Norton.

It's dumb as shite but the Turbo reveal in Wreck-It Ralph floored me. And then I remember kicking myself for being so invested in a frickin' cartoon movie that a twist like that got to me

Still think it's a brilliant twist.
