Watched it with my kids a few days ago and it really is a bad movie. The story is very boring and almost nothing happens. With that said, the movie does have some iconic scenes such as the tongue on the light pole, beating up the bully, the leg lamp.

I don't know if it's the worst, but it's certainly the most overrated. It's not very good at all. Outside of a couple of well-known scenes, it's pretty damn boring.

Actually, the year is never stated, but it's clearly a boomer childhood nostalgia film, which is why it's so strangely popular.
