I’m sure there will be a lot of really thoughtful opinions about the disparity across sports.

I wonder if every scholarship athlete will make the same amount. If so, being the last man on an 85 man scholarship roster making a $175k salary isn’t a bad gig

I want to see what other spending gets cut to fund this.

According to their Finance report, Texas Tech athletics turned a $10 mil profit last year

Revenue Sharing adds $20mil to the expense column.

that puts them in a $10 mil hole unless they cut spending/add revenue somewhere to close that gap.

Will the athletes be participating in loss sharing for programs that lose money?

Your school and AD's priorities will be very transparent.

Well, seeing as scholarship money was required to be even, it will be interesting to see how this gets forced in court. If the spirit of the law is equal support, the money should be split evenly between male and female sports.

If that law is no longer being honored, then it should be removed in regards to athletic scholarships.

Further, will all athletes be getting the same stipend or will it vary from player to player?

This is just going to make this an even bigger disaster.

Need to just end college athletics and let pro leagues pay for this. No point in calling it collegiate anymore.

Football 99%, since football generates 99% of the money.

Huh? That is not my understanding. This is money the universities never got before so it is "bonus money". Isn't this money coming from the NCAA and/or conferences that makes billions of dollars off of college sports which wasn't shared with the universities as much as it should have been. If this isn't correct, where is the money coming from?

TT has 2 young BILLIONAIRES (early 40's) that are bankrolling and helping support Athletics. They have the money and want their alma mater to compete for Championships and have first class facilities to draw athletes. Several years ago, Cody Cambell wrote a $25,000,000 check to improve the football facilities. TT recently hired ULL softball coach Gerry Glascow by tripling his salary and giving him lots of money to pay his players. IIRC, 6 ULL players followed GG to TT and they each received a major increase in NIL $$$.
