Mr. Johns for traditional steakhouse
If you don't care about politics, La Boca for Argentine style

Chophouse for an old school steakhouse vibe. Doris for a modern interpretation.

Had Desi Vega's earlier this year and it was an A+. Also had Dickie Brennans, which served me a medium well ribeye that I should have sent back but I don't like spit in my food and everyone else was eating.

Do not go to Gaia. Awful.

I’d go with Doris Metropolitan

I have not been to Doris but the one I frequent, besides Ruth Chris, is Desi Vega’s.

I’ve been to both Mr. John’s and Desi Vegas knowing that the ownership was the same. I thought Desi Vegas was better honestly. I would go back to Mr. John’s but it wouldn’t be my first or even second choice.

Not a steakhouse but Costera’s ribeye is probably my favorite steak in the city

Was surprised at the level they were already at. Thought it would be a instagram place that put food second, but across the board most stuff was good.

Apps were all well done, did the beef wellington, but others steaks were pretty right on.

Not sure what kind of steakhouse I would call it, but that is where the menu lands it at.
