Is it Kelly or is this just the way it will be going forward?

Yes, lots of other teams have players that enter portal, but there has always been discussion that Kelly not a "players coach." Pimpton bound to be a starter and star in Kelly's offense, as Keely has always loved to use TE's.

Something was off with Pimpton. He had the physical ability to walk on the campus and play/contribute day 1 based just on his size and abilities.
He either couldnt understand the playbook or was lazy and got in coaches dog house.
Either way ill take the OU TE over Pimpton.

Just like EVERY Notre Dame fan scoffed online when the rumor he would be the coach of the LSU Tigers came out. The glad they took him narrative didn't show up for a bit after.

LSU has been one of the least affected teams in the portal. We rarely lose an actual contributor. With few exceptions, little used players are the ones leaving. Few teams can claim that.

What is worse... a 8-4 team that is already into roster rebuild mode with 12-14 players in the TP or a team that is in the top 4 CFP with a bye and still playing with 5 in the TP?

It was noted in a recent article with direct quotes from a player under BK at LSU that he's not a player's coach. He exchanges pleasantries and that's about it. The personal relationship aspect doesn't seem to be there.
