Ingram turned down an extension last season that would have paid him 50 million per year

Likely a one or two year extension, but stupid on his part to decline that.

Maybe that's why he fired his agency.

He just Schroedered himself and thank god he didn’t sign that. Griff once again is an absolute dumbass for even considering it

If he really did that he deserves every bit of the BS coming his way.

if it was only a one year extension i could see him turning it down wanting more years, but if he turned down 2+ at 50M AAV... tough

I do find it very interesting that all of this news drop after he gets injured. Sounds like we are likely headed to free agency and a trade will not happen.

Lot of stories coming out about BI and "reported" offerings and trades and what not today.

He just switched agencies.
Don't underestimate the amount of BS that will get thrown around so his new agent can get the most for him, whether from us or some other team.

Do'nt believe everythign you see. I"m not saying this isnt' true, but don't put it past Klutch to start "leaking" what they want to be believed.

Shams did say he’s expecting Ingram to have a robust trade market, so may not be bad news at all.

I know it was 50 million a year on a short term deal, because no way he would’ve turned that down on a 4 year extension. Likely a 1+1 with a team option, but still something he should have jumped on.

It was clearly more than a one year offer. It was either 3 for 150 or 4 for 200 offered after 2023 that he turned down.

Then he turned down at least 2 for 80 this past offseason, more likely 3 for 120.

Thank you BI for passing that up like a game winning 3 pointer.

Honestly, that is the best news the Pelicans have had all year.

The thought of paying that soft, unclutch clown 50 million a year to play 2/3 of a season is stomach turning.

Griff wanted to give Lowry the max too a couple years ago. This guy is dangerous and needs to go

If true, Pels dodged a huge bullet there.

Amazing how many big contracts we got lucky with under Griffin. He likes to give out monster contracts like it's candy and gets lucky because the players don't want it.

Seriously we’d be fricked if Lowry or BI took those deals. They saved Griff from himself.

Can we fire Griff already?

He did but on a short term deal, which is why Lowry declined and took Miami’s contract.

He does try to overpay, but on shorter years
