You must not read this board a lot because we have been praising Charlie Crockett and JD McPherson lately. Those two are excellent and I would love to see them. Haven't heard of anyone else though.

I've heard of Giovannie and the Hired Guns and they might be worth a listen if you're there, but they're kinda stuck on singing about drinking.

Charlie's New Orleans interview on CBS (8 min). He had a great show at the Fillmore in August and brought up NOLA street musician Charlie Mills on stage for a few songs (Mills also featured in the interview). He's the real deal.

I feel like Crockett has been in Louisiana a lot, lately, so was surprised to see him at the top of lineup, but time could also just be flying bye as I get older.

I am not blaming anyone besides myself

Mostly I was shocked that I read an entire lineup and did not know a single name.

Saw them open for Mike and the Moonpies (now Silverada) at the Red Dragon in Baton Rouge a few years back. Put on a great show, though they were an odd fit for a sit-down "listening room" like the Red Dragon.

They'll get the afternoon crowd rockin.

Eddie 9V and local acts The Rumble and River Eckert are the only ones I know
Quickly listened to a couple of the headliners. Leaning too hard to the country. I’ll pass.

yeah they are a high energy country punk type band. strange fit for red dragon.

they were opening for lucero recently on a tour. they are a great live band.

This. Both are excellent and it's by far and away the best lineup they've had.

I was at this show. That was the loudest act I've seen at the Dragon for sure. The keyboard player was entertaining. I'm pretty sure he took 2 of whatever the rest of the band took.

This is the worst lineup theyve had imo.

To each their own.
