The SF Chronicle covered what happens when you just give the homeless housing:
Team up with the bum fights guy

Homelessness is a symptom, not the disease. The disease is addiction and mental illness
But its easier for politicians to steal money with housing initiatives than with addiction and mental health initiatives

"most of the instability stems from a small group of tenants who do not receive the support they need"
^^ 100% this mindset is the problem. Blaming the lack of help on uncivilized personal actions. We are so fricked.

That’s what too many people don’t understand or refuse to accept. The vast majority of homeless aren’t homeless because of bad circumstances. They’re homeless because of mental illness and/or substance addiction.

Read that last line.
"Most of the instability stems from a small group of tenants who do not receive the support they need."
When you don't have to work for something or have no skin in the game, you don't appreciate it and take care of it. Burn it down!

Remember the backlash those dudes who produced Bumfights got and how one of them went on Dr Phil dressed like Dr Phil and told Dr Phil that he basically does the same thing?

The same experiment has been tried across the country and across decades with similar results.
There was an attempt in Port Allen that my dad watched as it fell apart.

Imagine that, mentally ill people don't know how to operate in civil society. Throwing money and stuff at them isn't going to do a damn thing other than make liberal retards feel good about themselves.

There's a reason they had Asylums.
Closing those down was wrong. Reforming them is what needed to happen.
Involuntary commitment needs to come back but in a more humane way.

Homeless, but can afford TVs, Xboxes, multiple smart phones. And of course drugs

Most of your homeless are there by choice and wouldn't be in an asylum, they should be in rehab.

Came to post this. This mindset is delusional and destructive to society

Need to think of some “final solution” for the homeless, they’re useless eaters and we are spending tax dollars to maintain them.
